On 8/4/13 God worked a miracle in my life. He healed me of a frightening nerve pain in my arm and hand while
watching TV. The man said someone is being healed right now in the arm and pointed to the exact area on my arm where the pain originated!
I’ve told people who I know what happened. Most believe me, one or two don’t but are polite about it. I understand their unbelief because I NEVER believed that any miracle took place when people on TV said things like that. “Some one has just been healed while watching this show. Your back has been hurting you for years and now you can move pain free.” I thought, “Why do they do that? They don’t need to, they have a lot of money already. They’re saying good Biblical things, they don’t have to interrupt they’re message and do that.” It made me doubt that God ever healed. Now, I know that it is real. Not everyone is legit, that’s been proven but some are.
One man asked, “If you didn’t believe that people got healed watching TV why were you watching the show?” Fair question and I answered him, “The show is interesting.” He still didn’t really believe me but that’s okay. Just hearing about such a thing makes us think more about God.
Why did God heal me? I don’t know. I didn’t even ask him to heal my arm but I’m so glad He did. Many of us can believe there is a God but we have trouble believing that He cares about us. This is evidence for me that God does care for all of us and me. Jesus cares about you too. He wants to heal you but you have to let him.
Recently, my right arm and hand have been in severe nerve pain from repetitive motion. I sat down to watch TV with an ice pack but the man said someone is being healed. He pointed to his arm just below the elbow and said the carpel tunnel is being healed. I started moving and stretching my hand and arm and felt the pain slowly go away. I cried and said, “Thank you Jesus!” I didn’t need the ice. God healed me. He will heal you too if you let him. Thank you Jesus!
Under China’s totalitarian government, people can now join a Christian Church as long as that Church registers with the government. Many Western Christians are fooled into thinking that the Chinese are now free to believe whatever they want but not quite. They’re free to believe what they want as long as the government approves.
Called the “Three-Self Patriotic Movement” all Churches must register and be approved for service times, locations and who is allowed to preach. Any Church that’s not registered gets harassed by government agents and some members are arrested and imprisoned while denied human rights. Despite the persecution, millions of Chinese are believing in Jesus and facing the hate.
Today, I was watching TV and a man talked about how the Western Christians are not supporting Middle Eastern Christians. I thought, “What Middle Eastern Christians?” On the internet, I found an article written exactly 1 year ago today! Is God saying something?

“We who preach diversity and make sure our Muslim brothers and sisters feel safe can miss this real persecution because we’ve spent so much of our lives focusing on civil – as opposed to religious – rights. And so we really don’t pay much attention to the cries of Christians in the Middle East.”
Found this on Soda Head (Love that name!) under the article, “America’s anti Israel stance linked to natural disasters!” Posted 9/25/09.
My question is, why do many Americans feel sorry for the Muslims and expect Israel to give them land?
TmrWrite is a Muslim who is pro-Israel. His comment:
“Your Westerners are gullible…no wonder 9/11 was pulled off with ease!!! Islam owns 7 million kilometers of land…Yisrael owns 10 thousand kilometers and not ONE of you stops to ask…WHY ARE THE MUSLIMS ASKING FOR MORE LAND? Why didn’t all the empty territory of Saudi Arabia not absorb their own refugees. Yet Yisrael has given many of us free homes, food, etc. Until your “Un-united Nations” told Yisrael to STOP HELPING US. Why…our Arabis leaders wanted Yisrael to look bad..at our expense!!! Then they come and order our mothers to petition for us to be Shahids…suicide bombers. Yes our families get money after we young men die…but if we refuse they threaten to kill our mothers and sibings!!! And these who terrorize they own people are pittied in America!!”
Muslims have the vast majority of the land over there and they’re not running out of land. Plenty of it’s ready for building permits!
A: Because we Americans are so gullible and easily led by the media machine! Haven’t you ever noticed how the news shows say almost the same things and repeat it countless times? That’s not an accident, it’s manipulation!

Several years ago, I saw and heard Max Lucado speak. I had never heard of him before but I went with some people who read his books and heard him talk. After hearing him I have no regrets and I’ll jump at the next opportunity.
Max Lucado wasn’t preachy or showy nor did he make himself the center of attention. The building where I saw him was big but not a ginormous professional basketball stadium. If there were cameras I never saw them, he did not take center stage but actually stood off to the left most of the time. The experience was not a noise extravaganza with people cheering and screaming, not that there’s anything wrong with that, it was a simple and comfortable environment. No razzle dazzle.
Lucado didn’t come across as one who was putting on an act but one who was genuine and genuinely talked about Jesus. He’s a positive preacher but not a “prosperity preacher”. I don’t remember the theme of his speech but he had me in tears and ice water runs through my veins. What he said was substantial, I left there completely full not empty as is usually the case with preachers.
Since then, I’ve read a few of Lucado’s books and I’ll read anything he writes and watch any of his broadcasts, which are few. Afterward, I always feel moved by his message and he doesn’t have to scream or use the word “money” constantly.
Joel Osteen at Lakewood Church, Houston, Texas (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
A while back, I visited Lakewood Church when I was in Houston and I found it to be nothing more than a big production. There was a stage, a camera operator on a big crane down front, lights, loud music with lots of people clapping and cheering the stars. You know who the stars of that show are, Mr and Mrs Preacher. That’s how everybody acted, like they were the stars of the show. Not Jesus.
It doesn’t appear as showy on TV as it does in real life but maybe all broadcasts are like that. Although, Joel Osteen’s message is all positive it’s missing something and feels shallow, at least to me. The majority of the crowd acted all happy, most were all smiles yet not really friendly. In fact, I found the people outside of the church to be more friendly and helpful than anyone inside. People inside the church didn’t even look at me much less say anything to me. Maybe it’s because I wasn’t dressed up in expensive clothes.
I’ve learned never trust people who smile constantly, they’re all hiding something. Mr and Mrs Preacher were all smiles in front of the camera and crowd but they acted like they couldn’t wait to run away from they’re adoring fans. As soon as the camera was off so were they and the choir immediately took their places and sang louder than before.
I’m not sure that I ever heard anyone speak the name of Jesus the whole time I was there. I left feeling empty and I never returned to Lakewood. Actually, it wasn’t unlike the average American church without cameras.
Q: “Why won’t the government help us? Our government is rich, they should provide for us.”A: 2 Kings 18:21 On Egypt? If you lean on Egypt, it will be like a reed (cane, walker, crutches) that splinters beneath your weight and pierces (stabs) your hand (causing harm). Pharaoh, the king of Egypt (the government, welfare, Medicare, public school system, FEMA), is completely unreliable! NLT. (My own explanations.)
Q: Who will help us in the next emergency?
A: YHWH; Y’SHUA
Psalms 9:9 Consequently the Lord provides safety for the oppressed;he provides safety in times of trouble.9:10 Your loyal followers trust in you,for you, Lord, do not abandon those who seek your help.
