Forgiveness

Matthew 6:14-15  “For if you forgive others their sins, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others, your Father will not forgive you your sins.”

Matthew 18:21-22   Then Peter came to him and said, “Lord, how many times must I forgive my brother who sins against me? As many as seven times?” 22 Jesus said to him, “Not seven times, I tell you, but seventy-seven times!

Mark 11:25  “Whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven will also forgive you your sins.”

Luke 6:37   “Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven.”

Luke 7:47-48 “Therefore I tell you, her sins, which were many, are forgiven, thus she loved much; but the one who is forgiven little loves little.” 48 ThenJesussaid to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”

Acts 26:18  to open their eyes so that they turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and share among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’

2 Corinthians 5:18-21   And all these things are from God who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and who has given us the ministry of reconciliation.  19 In other words, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting people’s trespasses against them, and he has given us the message of reconciliation.   20 Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making His plea through us.  We plead with you on Christ’s behalf, “Be reconciled to God!” 21 God made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that in him we would become the righteousness of God.

Colossians 3:13  bearing with one another and forgiving one another, if someone happens to have a complaint against anyone else.  Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also forgive others.

1 John 1:9  But if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous, forgiving us our sins and cleansing us from all unrighteousness.
